Korean Wings

Sticky, sweet, spicy, and packed with flavour, these Korean-style wings are incredibly easy to make in the air fryer. Marinated for maximum flavour, then coated in a rich Korean sauce and finished with sesame seeds, they're guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

  • 1kg chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp Korean marinade
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
  • 150ml Korean-style sticky sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Preparation

  1. Add the chicken wings to a bowl with the Korean marinade, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and olive oil. Mix until evenly coated.
  2. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  3. Remove the wings from the fridge 20–25 minutes before cooking to allow them to come closer to room temperature.
  4. Place the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook at 200°C for 25 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  5. Once cooked and crispy, transfer the wings to a large bowl. Pour over the Korean sticky sauce and toss until fully coated.
  6. Finish with a generous sprinkle of sesame seeds and sliced spring onions before serving.
