Ingredients

  • 1kg chicken wings
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
  • 120ml buffalo sauce
  • Fresh chives, finely chopped
  • Blue cheese dip, to serve

Preparation

  1. Add the chicken wings to a large bowl. Pour over the olive oil and lemon juice, then season with the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix well until the wings are evenly coated.
  2. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour to allow the flavours to develop.
  3. Remove the wings from the fridge 20–25 minutes before cooking. This helps them cook more evenly and achieve a crispier finish.
  4. Place the wings into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 200°C for 25 minutes.
  5. Once the wings are golden and crispy, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour over the buffalo sauce and toss until every wing is fully coated.
  6. Finish with a sprinkle of freshly chopped chives and serve immediately with blue cheese dip on the side.
