Air Fryer Apple Cinnamon Rings
The easiest after-school snack for kids! These crispy apple cinnamon rings are coated in a light batter, air fried until golden, then finished with a sweet cinnamon sugar coating. A simple treat the whole family will love.
Ingredients
- 2 large apples
- 100g plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 egg
- 120ml milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- For the cinnamon sugar coating:
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Preparation
- Slice the apples into rings (around 1cm thick) and remove the centre to create rings.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, egg, milk, vanilla extract and salt until you have a smooth batter.
- Dip each apple ring into the batter, coating evenly.
- Place the coated apple rings into the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry at 180°C for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- While warm, toss the apple rings in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve warm and enjoy as an easy after-school snack!
