Orange Sorbet

Cool, refreshing, and bursting with citrus flavor, this homemade orange sorbet recipe is the perfect summer dessert. Made with fresh orange juice and just a few simple ingredients, this easy orange sorbet is dairy-free, vegan, and naturally sweet—ideal for hot days or a light, fruity treat.

Ingredients

  • 60g sugar
  • 120ml water
  • 100ml freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 tsp finely chopped orange zest

Preparation

  1. Combine the sugar and water in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce heat to low and simmer without stirring until the sugar dissolves, about 3 to 5 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
  3. When cool, add the orange juice and zest; stir to combine.
  4. Pour the mixture into dessert cup. Ensure the mixture is flat, level and not over-filled.
  5. Cover and chill in the freezer for at least 24 hours.
  6. Take the sorbet mixture out the freezer 5-10 minutes before churning
  7. Select sorbet function and push to churn.
