Festive Punch

Our Fruit Punch is sure to be a crowd pleaser! This simple, yet delicious, drink will go down a treat at Christmas or any occasion. It can also be easily served as a mocktail too.

Ingredients:

  • 150ml white rum
  • 3 large pink grapefruit or 500ml grapefruit juice
  • 1 egg white
  • ½ lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. grenadine
  • 5 ice cubes

To Serve:

  • Grenadine syrup
  • Cane sugar
  • 10 wooden skewers
  • 10 fruit jelly sweets
  • 10 small mint leaves

Directions:

  1. Remove the peel and white skin from the grapefruit, using a small knife. Cut the flesh into segments and set aside.
  2. Using 2 small bowls, add the grenadine syrup to one and the cane sugar to another.
  3. Put the grapefruit flesh into a bowl and add the rum, grenadine, lemon juice and ice cubes. Using the Cordless Pro Hand Blender, with the blending attachment, blend the ingredients together, until smooth.
  4. Add the egg white and blend again.
  5. Dip the rims of the glasses into the syrup and then into the sugar and set these aside on a tray.
  6. Add a fruit jelly sweet to each of the cocktail sticks, to create the fruit sweet skewers.
  7. Pour the punch into the cocktail glasses.
  8. Decorate with a fruit skewer and a sprig of mint.
