Classic Soda Bread

No yeast, no waiting! This bread is ready in under 30 minutes and pairs perfectly with soups or as a quick snack.

Ingredients

  • 250g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 200ml buttermilk (or mix 200ml milk with 1 tbsp lemon juice and leave for 5 minutes)
     

Preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl using a hand mixer with dough hooks until just combined.
  2. Shape into a round loaf and score a deep cross on top.
  3. Place in the air fryer at 180°C for 20–25 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
