These lightly spiced Breaded Prawns are easy to make and are ideal to serve as a starter, or as a part of a buffet or picnic. Serve with a dipping sauce of your choice.

Ingredients:

  • 50g plain flour
  • Salt & freshly ground pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 50g panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ tsp. chilli powder
  • 12 uncooked king prawns, peeled with tails left on
  • Olive oil for spraying
To Serve:
  • Dipping sauce

Directions:

  1. In a shallow bowl combine the flour, salt and pepper. In a second bowl, mix the egg with a fork, until well beaten. Finally in a third bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs and chilli powder.
  2. Coat each prawn with the seasoned flour, followed by the beaten egg and finally with the breadcrumb and chilli powder mix.
  3. Place the Airfryer basket onto the baking tray. Spread the breaded prawns evenly in the basket and spray on both sides with the olive oil.
  4. Place the baking tray into the oven, the on rack position 2. Set to AirFry at 180˚C, for 5 minutes. Cook until the prawns are evenly golden and crispy.
  5. Serve with a dipping sauce, such as an aioli mayonnaise.
