The knobs just turn so you don't really know how dark the toast will come out, the advertised slots are 1-1/2 inches and appear to be only 1", the lift does not lift the items out evenly. My previous Cuisinart toaster was sturdy and I was so happy with it. Not so with this one.

It is cheaply made compared with the 20 year old toaster that we recently had to dispose of. It has weird settings, bagel? What if you aren’t toasting a bagel?
