Puff Pastry Cheese Straws

Snack Tip: Dip in ketchup or spicy mayo. Great for lunchboxes or midnight munchies.

Ingredients

  • 1 ready-rolled puff pastry sheet
  • 100g mature cheddar, grated
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Pinch of smoked paprika or chilli flakes (optional)
     

Preparation

  1. Unroll pastry and brush with egg.
  2. Scatter grated cheese over half, fold over, and press gently.
  3. Roll out lightly and slice into 1cm strips.
  4. Twist each strip, brush with more egg.
  5. Air fry at 180°C for 6-8 mins until golden.
