French Toast with Grilled Nectarines

This delicious French Toast recipe with caramelized nectarines is perfect for a lazy weekend brunch. It's easy to make using our Griddle and Grill - simply open it out flat and you can caramelize the nectarines on one side whilst cooking your French toast on the other

Ingredients

  • 150ml milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 4 thick slices bread
  • 4 ripe nectarines
  • 2 tbsp soft brown sugar

To serve

  • Maple syrup

Preparation

  1. Cut the nectarines into quarters and toss them in a bowl with the sugar, set aside.
  2. Set up the Griddle & Grill with one flat griddle plate and one ribbed grill plate, Fully open the Griddle and Grill and set the temperature to 180ºC.
  3. Whisk together the milk and eggs. Place the bread slices into a shallow baking tray and pour over the egg mixture, making sure they are fully covered. Allow to soak for a minute.
  4. Once the Grill is up to temperature, place the nectarines and bread slices onto the grill and cook until the nectarines start to caramelize and the bread turns a golden colour.
  5. Serve the French Toast with the grilled nectarines and a drizzle of maple syrup
