These delicious homemade bread rolls make the perfect accompaniment to any lunch or dinner. To make these quick and easy bread rolls, use one of our Food Processors to make the dough and bake in a muffin tin in the oven

Ingredients:

  • 350g Strong White Flour, plus extra for dusting the work surface
  • 1 tsp Easy Blend Dried Yeast
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 210ml Lukewarm Water
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 x 12 cup muffin tin, oiled

Directions:

  1. Put all of the flour, salt, sugar and yeast into the work bowl of your Food Processor. Using the plastic dough blade, pulse several times to combine thoroughly.
  2. With the machine running slowly pour the oil and water through the feed tube. Allow the flour to absorb the liquid and then continue to mix on High, until the dough starts to pull together to form a ball. If it is too sticky, add a little extra flour and process until the dough starts to clean the inside of the work bowl. Continue to process for a further 5-10 seconds.
  3. Stop the appliance and test the dough to ensure it is properly kneaded. If it feels hard, lumpy or uneven, continue processing until it feels uniformly soft and pliable. Be careful not to overwork the dough.
  4. Lightly dust the work surface with some flour and turn the dough out. Work into a ball, lightly with hands, until smooth and pliable. Place into an oiled bowl, cover with cling film or a tea towel and leave to rise in a warm place for approximately 1½ hours or until doubled in size.
  5. Remove from the bowl onto a floured work surface and gently form into a long sausage shape with your hands. Divide into 12 individual pieces (approx 45g each)
  6. Take one of the dough pieces and lightly knead the edges over and into the centre, to create an even shape whilst turning the dough. Turn over and slowly shape into a ball, before placing into one of the cups of the muffin tin. Repeat with all the pieces.
  7. Cover the tin and stand in a warm place until the dough reaches the top of the cups, approximately 30 minutes.
  8. Place in a preheated oven, 200°C/180°F, Gas Mark 7 and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and turn onto a wire rack to cool.
