Get the perfect steak every time with these easy-to-follow tips and tricks. Whether you like yours blue, rare, medium, or well-done, we have you covered.
Ingredients
- 500g beef sirloin
- ½ red onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 50g melted butter
- 2 sprigs of fresh thyme
- Salt and pepper
To Serve:
- Sauce of your choice
- Green beans
Preparation
Method:
- Brush the beef tenderloin with the melted butter and add pepper to both sides.
- Place the grill pan on the Cook In and set to the maximum temperature.
- Sear the meat on one side and add the red onion and thyme.
- Turn the beef over and cover with the lid.
- Place the tenderloin on a cutting board and leave to rest for 2 minutes.
- Season with salt and slice the beef into strips.
- Serve with the garnish, green beans and a sauce of your choice.
Cooking Times:
- Blue: 1 minutes on each side
- Rare: 2 minutes on each side
- Medium: 3 minutes on each side
- Well-done: More than 3 minutes on each side
Tips:
- Let the meat rest, for at least 2 minutes, before easting it.
- Salt the meat at the end of cooking.
- Remove the meat from the refrigerator, at least 30 minutes, before cooking.
