Get the perfect steak every time with these easy-to-follow tips and tricks. Whether you like yours blue, rare, medium, or well-done, we have you covered.

Ingredients:

  • 500g beef sirloin
  • ½ red onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 50g melted butter
  • 2 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • Salt and pepper

To Serve:

  • Sauce of your choice
  • Green beans

Directions:

Method:

  1. Brush the beef tenderloin with the melted butter and add pepper to both sides.
  2. Place the grill pan on the Cook In and set to the maximum temperature.
  3. Sear the meat on one side and add the red onion and thyme.
  4. Turn the beef over and cover with the lid.
  5. Place the tenderloin on a cutting board and leave to rest for 2 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and slice the beef into strips.
  7. Serve with the garnish, green beans and a sauce of your choice.

Cooking Times:

  • Blue: 1 minutes on each side
  • Rare: 2 minutes on each side
  • Medium: 3 minutes on each side
  • Well-done: More than 3 minutes on each side

Tips:

  • Let the meat rest, for at least 2 minutes, before easting it.
  • Salt the meat at the end of cooking.
  • Remove the meat from the refrigerator, at least 30 minutes, before cooking.
