This Cuban classic is a prefect summer cooler with friends or as a date night treat.


  • 80ml Rum
  • 8 Ice cubes
  • 8 Fresh mint leaves
  • 8 Brown sugar cubes
  • 120ml Soda water
  • Juice of 2 limes


  1. Place the ice in the blender jar and process on 'High' for a few seconds to break up the ice.
  2. Add the lime juice and mint leaves and process until combined.
  3. Add the sugar and rum and mix for a few seconds and finally add the soda water via the lid.
  4. Serve into 4 glasses and garnish with any left over mint and a slice of lime.
