Make your own Korean BBQ with our Entertaining Grill. Full of flavour and quick to prepare, this style of cooking is a winner in our books.



  • 4 tbsp soya sauce
  • 4 tbsp mirin
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp red chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 cm piece fresh root ginger, peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 tsp sesame oil



  • 400g sirloin steak, trimmed of fat and sliced into 1cm strips
  • 1 large carrot, peeled and finely sliced on a diagonal
  • 200g mixed oriental mushrooms, cleaned and roughly chopped if large
  • 1 bunch spring onions, peeled and cut on a diagonal
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce


To Serve


  1. Put all the ingredients for the marinade into a deep bowl and mix until well combined. You could also use our Mini Prep Pro.
  2. Add the prepared meat and carrots and stir to coat. Allow to marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Pre-heat the Entertaining Grill to 220ºC on both sides.
  4. Place the marinated meat and carrots on one side of the Entertaining Grill and scatter over the spring onions. Cook for about 5-7 minutes turning occasionally. Once the meat is cooked scatter over the sesame seeds.
  5. Scatter the mushrooms onto the other side of the grill. Cook for about 5 minutes turning occasionally. Season with the soy sauce.
  6. Serve with the chilli sauce, coriander sauce, lettuce leaves, sticky rice, kimchi, and lime wedges.
