Grilled Coffee Rubbed Angus Steak

Grilled Coffee Rubbed Angus Steak with crunchy vegetables is a great recipe to try if you fancy being adventurous in the kitchen. This recipe can be made with a wide range of vegetables and is an unforgettably tasty meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Angus sirloin steaks, approx. 300g each
  • 1 potato
  • 1 parsnip
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 Chioggia beets
  • 8 green asparagus
  • 50ml olive oil

For the Rub:

  • 1 tbsp. coffee beans
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper corns
  • 1 tsp. white pepper corns
  • 1 tbsp. paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. dry garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp. pink berries
  • 1 tbsp. salt flakes

Directions:

  1. Add all the rub ingredients to the Spice Grinder and grind together.
  2. Rub the sirloin steaks with the spice mix and set aside for 1 hour, at room temperature.
  3. Wash and peel the vegetables, except the asparagus and cut them in half.
  4. Peel the asparagus and cut off the base, if slightly dry.
  5. Season the vegetables with a little oil and the spice mix.
  6. Attach the GRILL plates to the Griddle and Grill and grill the vegetables at 190 ̊C for 5 minutes. Once cooked, set aside.
  7. Sear the steaks at 200 ̊C – 2 mins (rare), 3 mins (medium rare) or 5 mins (medium).
  8. Serve the sirloin steaks, with the vegetables on warm plates.
