Eggless Chocolate Brownies

These super easy ‘eggless’ chocolate brownies make the perfect treat. Made in under 45 minutes, enjoy them warm with cream or ice cream.


  • 150g blanched hazelnuts
  • 75g dark chocolate, roughly broken
  • 75g milk chocolate, roughly broken
  • 150g softened butter, extra for greasing
  • 150g self-raising flour
  • 150ml milk
  • 150g caster sugar
  • 60g dried mixed fruit
To Serve
Creme fraiche & a dusting of icing sugar


  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC/350ºF/gas 4
  2. Grease and line a deep non-stick baking dish or tray, approximately 25cm x 20cm, with greaseproof paper.
  3. Using a food processor, process the nuts until fine.
  4. Add the chocolate and process until fine.
  5. Continue to add the self-raising flour, milk and sugar, processing well between each addition.
  6. Lastly, add the dried fruit and briefly process to combine.
  7. Tip the mixture into the lined baking tray and smooth down with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes before removing and leaving to cool in the tray.
  9. Cut up into brownie sized portions and serve with creme fraiche and icing sugar.
